After graduating in Pharmacy from the University of Milan, during his professional career, he was elected Councilor of the Order of Pharmacists of the Province of Milan and Lodi, a position he still holds.

In 1994, he was appointed coordinator of "College 20" for Forza Italia and elected as a municipal councilor in Paderno Dugnano. Reconfirmed in the next elections, he was appointed Vice-President of the City Council. In the following elections, he was appointed Mayor. The following year he became a member of the Regional Executive Council of ANCI - the National Association of Italian Municipalities.

In 2014 he was elected councilor of the Metropolitan City of Milan and in 2018 he joined the Lombardy Regional Council, where was elected as President of the Budget Committee. In 2021 he was appointed by the President of the Lombardy Region, Attilio Fontana, Undersecretary for the Brussels Delegation and Control System.

Chairman of ANFIR - Italian Association of Regional Financial Institutions, Finlombarda and Finpiemonte, he is ABI Council Member and EAPB – European Association of Public Banks Board Member. Vice President of the Superior Council of Judiciary from 2010 to 2014, he’s member of Parliament in four legislatures, he has held government positions, as Undersecretary to the Ministry of Justice, Undersecretary to the Ministry of Economy and Finance and President of Ministerial Committees for the reform of corporate law and bankruptcy law. He is author of many publications in the field of economic law and judicial system. He is Professor of commercial law at Università degli Studi Internazionali di Roma – UNINT. He is a lawyer at the Court of cassation.

Jonathan Denness is Head of Unit for Financial Instruments and relations with the International Financial Institutions in the Regional and Urban Policy DG of the European Commission. Previously he worked on programme closure and major projects in the same directorate general as well as geographic units for the UK, Spain, Latvia and Ireland. This followed a period in the Commission’s Competition DG dealing with mergers and telecommunications. Prior to joining the Commission, he worked in the UK Department of Trade and Industry, the UK Permanent Representation to the EC in Brussels and in the UK Office of Fair Trading. He is a Management Sciences graduate of the Lancaster University Management School.

Marcella Caradonna has been the President of the Order of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts of Milan since 1st January 2017.

She is a professor at the Catholic University of Milan as well as a speaker at seminars and conferences throughout the Country.

She is statutory auditor and chairman of both the Board of Statutory Auditors in various listed companies and the Board of Auditors of the Italian Thermotechnical Committee.

She is also a journalist and an author of publications and books.

Michele D’Ercole is Director of the Area “Projects and Instruments” at the Agency for Territorial Cohesion since 2019. His responsibilities concern several topics linked to the implementation of the cohesion policy at EU and national level, ranging from thematic objectives (e.g. research and innovation, digitalization, firms support, green and sustainable development, infrastructure), to compliance with applicable law on State aid and public procurement, to financial instruments, to EU territorial cooperation and innovative projects. Since 2019, he is a member of the Steering Committee at the Agency for Territorial Cohesion. He is dealing with the EU cohesion policy since 2000, firstly as head of unit at the Ministry of the economy and finance (2000-2006), then as expert for the EU Structural funds at the Italian Permanent Representation to the EU in Brussels (2006-2014) and later as head of unit at the Ministry for economic development and, since its establishment, at the Agency for Territorial Cohesion. He has previously worked as industrial economist at Italcementi SpA, economic studies office (1993-2000) and at Cerpem Srl (1990-1993).

Michele D’Ercole holds a degree in Economic and Social Sciences at Bocconi University, Milan (1989) and obtained a Master of Arts in Technology Policy and Innovation Management at MERIT - Maastricht Economic Research Institute on Innovation and Technology, Rijksuniversiteit Limburg, Maastricht, The Netherlands (1993).

Mariateresa Di Giacomo is the Head of the Financial Instruments Unit within the Adriatic Sea Department as responsible for the management of EU, national and regional resources, on behalf of EU Central Authorities and Regions with a focus on a number of sectors and objectives as well as blending operations where notably third party and EIB resources are combined. She is currently responsible for coordinating the setup and implementation of the Resilience and Recovery Fund together with the Italian authorities.

She joined the Bank in 2008 as a counterparty monitoring officer. She also worked as a loan officer responsible for managing the relationship and structuring the financing of eligible projects promoted by private mid-sized and large corporates mainly in Western European countries. In 2019, she moved to the Mandate Management Department before being appointed in 2021 Head of the Financial Instruments Unit in Italy, Malta, Croatia, and Slovenia within the Operation Directorate.

Before joining the EIB, Mariateresa Di Giacomo worked for the Telecom Italia Group and Deutsche Bank.

Marc has extensive experience in the design and deployment of financial instruments under the European Structural and Investment Funds, also in private and public venture capital management, and in project management for the financial industry.

Pier Attilio Superti was born in Cremona on 1 April 1958, has a degree in philosophy and has held administrative positions at both municipal and provincial level.

He was also Secretary General of Anci Lombardia from 2007 to 2018.

Since 2018 he has held the position of Deputy Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Lombardy Region and Director of the Programming and External Relations Area, directing, among other things, the regional, European and Regional System programming, the supervision of national and international external relations, and the coordination with the Delegations of Rome and Brussels and the regional territorial offices.
