Innovative technologies for smart cities to reduce air pollution levels in urban areas

Description of the challenge

In recent decades, the level of pollution in cities has grown exponentially. In 2022, 29 Italian cities out of a total of 95 exceeded the daily limits for PM10, and considering the new European standards expected for 2030, 76% of cities are non-compliant for PM10, 84% for PM2.5, and 61% for NO2.

The proposed challenge aims to identify cutting-edge technologies capable of reducing air pollution levels, promoting the physical and mental well-being of citizens, and actively involving them.

The proposed solutions can be focused on reducing both direct and indirect emissions, such as promoting more efficient urban traffic management.

The selected start-up will have the opportunity to initiate a Proof of Concept (PoC) with A2A.
